PancakeSwap, a popular multi-chain DEX, recently revealed a significant community reward program set to take place from July 5 to August 5. This program will see the distribution of more than 2.45 million zkSync (ZK) tokens to community members who have shown support for the zkSync PancakeSwap deployment since July 2023. The goal of this airdrop is to recognize not only long-standing contributors but also newcomers who actively participate in PancakeSwap activities.
According to the official announcement, both veCAKE holders and previous contributors are eligible to take part in the airdrop. To claim their ZK tokens, users must connect their wallet to the PancakeSwap platform homepage and follow the instructions provided in the pop-up notification guide. Any tokens that go unclaimed will be redistributed within the PancakeSwap ecosystem for future development and community projects.
The team at PancakeSwap highlighted the substantial progress made since the platform first went live on zkSync Era, an Ethereum layer-2 network, in the previous summer. During this time, several essential features were implemented, such as seamless Swaps, Yield Farming, Prediction Markets, Fiat On-Ramp, Position Manager, and Syrup Pools. These additions have contributed to PancakeSwap’s achievement of over $3 billion in trading volume, millions in total value locked (TVL), and a community of more than 1.9 million traders.
