Crypto.com, the Singaporean cryptocurrency exchange, has recently launched an update to its decentralized finance (DeFi) wallet service. The update enables support for fiat-to-crypto purchases in more countries and the addition of three new tokens.

New Tokens and Fiat-to-Crypto Purchases

In a recent blog post, Crypto.com announced that it has added Polygon (MATIC), USD Coin (USDC), and Dai (DAI) to its Crypto.com Pay service. This fiat-to-crypto on-ramp service enables the purchase of cryptocurrency via credit or debit card. With the addition of these new tokens, Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Crypto.com’s native CRO are the only tokens currently available for Pay purchase. However, the post mentions that support for more tokens “will be added soon”.

Crypto.com also announced that it has expanded the number of countries able to use the service to purchase crypto directly within the company’s DeFi wallet app to 108 in total. This move is expected to increase the accessibility of the service to a wider audience.

Streamlining the Pay Interface

Another update mentioned in the blog post is the streamlining of the Pay interface to facilitate purchases in fewer taps. This is expected to make the service more user-friendly and efficient.

Launch of ChatGPT-Based AI User Assistant Amy

In addition to these updates, Crypto.com recently launched a virtual assistant built on the GPT API to assist customers. The assistant, named Amy, is based on ChatGPT technology and is expected to provide customers with a more personalized experience.

Crypto.com Vice President Abhi Bisarya is reportedly “bullish” on the usage of artificial intelligence (AI) in the cryptocurrency industry. However, the company intends to trial the AI assistant on a pilot basis while considering user feedback.

Other businesses in the crypto and blockchain industries are also looking to incorporate AI technology into their services. Binance, for example, has launched its own ChatGPT-based offering called “Sensei”. This virtual educational assistant is integrated into the company’s consumer learning academy.

In conclusion, Crypto.com’s recent updates are expected to increase the accessibility and efficiency of its DeFi wallet service. The addition of new tokens and the expansion of the service to more countries are likely to attract a wider audience. The launch of Amy, the ChatGPT-based AI user assistant, is also expected to provide customers with a more personalized experience.
