The Aavegotchi Rarity Farming Season 8 has been announced, bringing with it a substantial 150,000 GHST prize pool and exciting new features to enhance the competitive experience for players. Aavegotchi is a unique Web3 game that combines NFT collectibles, decentralized finance (DeFi), and gaming to create an engaging and immersive experience for participants. Aavegotchis are pixelated ghost NFTs with unique traits that impact their rarity and in-game abilities.

The tournament schedule for Season 8 includes several important dates that players need to mark on their calendars. Registration for the 10K GHST Tournament opens from June 17 at 2 PM to June 24 at 2 PM UTC. Following that, registration for the 40K GHST Tournament will be open from July 1 at 2 PM to July 8 at 2 PM UTC. Finally, the 100K GHST Tournament registration will run from July 8 at 2 PM to July 15 at 2 PM UTC. Each tournament round will start 12 hours after the registration period ends, with subsequent rounds beginning 12 hours after the previous one concludes. Exact timings will be displayed shortly after registration closes.

Players looking to participate in the tournaments must visit the Gotchi Battler website, select the tournament they want to join, and click the “Create Team” button. They will then need to choose five Gotchis and two optional substitutes to form their team. It is crucial for players to designate a team leader and decide on their formation before finalizing their team configuration to prepare for the upcoming competition.

For those players who do not have the required Gotchis to form a team, the “Gotchi Lending” tab on the tournament page offers a solution. Players can rent eligible Gotchis to strengthen their teams. Additionally, players with unused Gotchis can lend them to others through the official Aavegotchi dapp, earning GHST in return. A lending period of 168 hours (7 days) is recommended to cover the registration duration and ensure that wearables remain unchanged before the tournament kicks off.

Aavegotchi advises lenders to set the upfront cost based on their Gotchi’s Base Rarity Score (BRS) and the prize pool of the tournament. This season of Aavegotchi Rarity Farming introduces double-elimination tournaments, giving participants two chances to compete before facing elimination. If a team loses a match, they will move to the loser’s bracket, where they will have an opportunity to fight their way back to the top.

One of the exciting new features of this season is the ability for teams to have two substitutes, allowing players to switch Gotchis in and out between rounds. This flexibility enables teams to adapt better to their opponents’ strategies and can be crucial in securing victory. Additionally, between each round, there will be a preparation phase where teams can make strategic adjustments.

During this phase, players can swap out Gotchis, change their team leader, and modify their formation, providing a tactical advantage in the upcoming battles. This preparation phase allows teams to analyze their opponents’ strengths and weaknesses and make the necessary adjustments to come out victorious in the tournament.
